I want to let you know how honored I am to step into the role of President of i3 Detroit.

Most of you already know me—either because we’ve built something together, accidentally broken something together, or because you’ve seen me wandering around the space with a look that says, “I swear I came in here for a reason.”

I love this community more than I can say. And stepping into this role, I want to nurture the things that make i3 so special: The open doors, the inclusion, the diversity, the shared knowledge, the weird projects, the “sure, let’s try it” attitude, and the way we support each other without hesitation.

I promise to bring my energy, my commitment, my gratitude, and yes—my sense of humor—to the job. My goal is to keep i3 running smoothly, keep our culture strong, and help us all keep making the kind of memories that you look back on and think, “Yep… that was peak i3 chaos, and I loved it.”

Thank you for trusting me with something this meaningful. I’m excited, I’m grateful, and I can’t wait to see what we create together next.

About me:

I’m an active member of i3 Detroit who loves building, teaching, and strengthening our community. I’m happiest when I’m helping someone learn a new skill, fixing something that’s broken, or finding a way to make the space better for everyone. I teach classes in soldering, automotive maintenance, EV battery technology, and general maker skills.

I’m passionate about creating a welcoming environment where members can explore ideas, share knowledge, and collaborate on projects that might be brilliant, ridiculous, or both. I care deeply about i3’s history, culture, and long-term sustainability, and I’m committed to supporting the people and processes that make this place special.

Outside the makerspace, I’m a lifelong learner and problem-solver. I graduated from law school in December 2024 and completed my MBA in May 2025, and I bring that blend of analytical thinking and hands-on practicality into everything I do. If you ever want help with a build, need support navigating a tool or process, or just want to bounce around a big idea, I’m always happy to jump in.
